Joaquin Folch started with motorcycle endurance racing in Spain. After taking up a new business challenge he went into classic GT racing with Aston Martin DB4 and Lotus Elan. From there he progressed to Formula Junior with a Lotus 27 and sportscars Lotus 23B. Infected by the "speed bug" he upgraded into historic Formula 1 cars with a Lotus 87, Lotus 91, McLaren M23, Williams FW08 and now the Brabham BT49C.
